The Dodgers were keen to bring Manny's matter to a timely resolution before greediness got in the way of things!
23 February 2009
It is Manny's prerogative to decide what is best for his immediate career but there is a limit to what the Dodgers can afford to pay him and his associates!
The Dodgers were keen to bring this matter to a timely resolution but Manny Ramirez was thought to be too greedy to agree to what was on offer. Indeed, it appears that he rejected a two years' Dodgers deal and now everybody in the organisation seems to be in two minds about whether to proceed with the negotiations or let Ramirez go. Certainly, the greediness of some Major League Baseball players is really becoming an issue of great proportion as many ball players are utterly consumed with an excessive desire for wealth. It is my opinion that baseball is bigger than those individuals who think they are indispensable and believe that baseball owe them something for playing what in essence is getting pay for what they themselves enjoy doing and therefore, it is my view that they should be allowed to go if it is their desire to do so for one player does not make a team.
