Venezuela defeated Mexico to become 2009 Caribbean Series Champions! So there you have it, the Tigres de Aragua are the champions of the 51st Caribbean Tournament as they showed the rest of the Caribbean what we are made of in terms of baseball as it confirmed that the best baseball  played in the world outside Major League Baseball is the one we played at home. Two Venezuelan citizens - Oscar "El Negro Prieto and Pablo Morales - devised this tournament many moons ago as they saw that there was enough talent in the Caribbean countries to create this annually grand event. The 52th Caribbean Series will be played in Margarita - Venezuela in 2010 and it promises to be one of the best ever as Venezuela will be defending their title in home soil.
