The referendum will establish the validity of the pluralism in our country!
Cheers Señor President; I am sure that the occasion will not be brief since fate has chosen you to be what it itself judged to be the right thing to do as it has persuaded the hardhearted and frustrated ones to agree to cast their votes next to the patient and acquiescent ones in the incoming election to decide the outcome of a referendum. Indeed, there is a real solid tension at either side of the equation but I am sure it will liquefy as soon as the outcome of the referendum is known. I believe the position of the present Head of State is not under any threat for he will never really know how much the people of Venezuela love him until the last vote has been cast. There is very little doubt that the referendum will see a wide majority in favour of infinite re-election and what is more it will show the existence and practice of pluralism within the democratic system of the country where toleration of a variety of people and freedom of speech in our society are considered to be divined and therefore respected as such. Of course, democracy is conditioned to its constitution and those who choose to be outside on the periphery of deference and above the law must expect to be judged in according with the textual wording of the law of the land.  I am fully aware that there is a big difference between voicing one's opinion and expect others to pay attention but I believe that within a democratic context continuity in hegemony is a good thing for a country and its citizens. By hegemony I mean re-election by means of participation in presidential elections of the man presently in charge of the affairs of the nation. It may sound a drunken idiocy to many but I do not see any thing wrong with that since the democratic system will not be affected by such a practice. Let the electorate decide, I would say.
