The perils, pains and sufferings of the world are all reflected in the mirror of wars!
07 January 2009
The citizens of the world must intervene to halt the fight!

Sitting down at a desk all day yesterday afternoon was the very last thing I needed; so I got up and left the house. After a long winter walk and a reflective pause I began to realised that the Middle East might be plunged back into the misery of another war just when it appeared that the work of the coalition force had come to an end in that part of the world. Indeed, in all succeeding times the fear of another war has never been a nice feeling in all men's minds and hearts since there is always far more than enough misery in this world to register an interest in another one for wars destroy dreams, hopes and bring needlessly suffering to the innocent ones; namely children, women and the elderly people. In one world we all live, let us for once stop being self-centred and tell the rest of the international community, in one voice, that enough is enough so that those warring nations keep their distance and begin to heal their rift through rational means such as diplomacy and savoir-faire. Indeed, together we can do so much and we can start right now by expressing our discontentment with the war in Gaza which have killed so many participants and non-participants. Let us give a voice to those who need to be heard for there is wisdom in taking an interest in what is going on in the world and offer a breath of fresh air to it and its social issues by opening a window of compassion to those who are desperately in need of sympathy and understanding. Absolutely, I care for the world and its social issues and I think that it would be selfish if I were to say that those little wars been fought as I write this had nothing to do with me just simply because they do not affect me; on the contrary, I think we should always help when there is a problem in the world and give its misery a well-needed touch of guidance. Certainly, emotions are running high in the Middle East at the present time but I believe that only our intervention and that of the International community can make those two countries to come to their senses and return to the negotiating table.
