Dolefully lugubrious Earth deserves better and it is fully entitled to a happy new year!

Food for thought. "Let us expunge famine from the world as a whole in 2009"!

Stemming from the lack of equal opportunities, the ramshackle hillside shanty towns of Heaven tells us a very sad story in which poverty and disillusionment are still the main reasons for grief and suffering on Earth. Indeed, it causes me great mental pain to read in the papers that a gargantuan number of people go to bed hungry every night and many more die simply because they don't have enough to eat, and yet there is more than enough food in the world to feed everyone on the planet many times over. I'll tell you something for nothing these people would rather not be dependent on outside aid for food but it must be understood that in regions where rain has not fallen for years it is mighty difficult to grow anything at all. Television pictures showing drought-stricken camps which often become living-mortuaries where the starving and corpses share the same rostrum are indeed very lugubrious to experience but the truth is that famine has no respect for the young and the old as they become victims of what I believe is an avoidable ordeal. These days, I have got to the stage where I can't relax while reading the paper or watching television for I cannot help thinking about those who are less fortunate than I.  Yeah! Yeah! I desperately wish I could help fast and sudden so that I could give all the suffering in the world the sac once and forever, and I am very confident that by making practical use of the collective humane gift that ties us all together defined in the content of humanity it can be done. Is it time for a reality check? Perchance, you might think that I am just another stimulant of pity and a dreamer but I feel that if people like me fail to give voice to the world, its suffering may lie dormant and therefore never, perhaps, be heard. Indeed, I hold the view that where there is life there is hope and so long as I continue to believe and dreaming that every man, woman and child deserve more than what they have I will carry on believing and dreaming. Certainly, I cannot deny the fact that my heart is filled with burning ambitions as my mind fosters utopian ideas; nevertheless, those ambitions and ideas have the power of focus which can be insightful and actionable in a pragmatic enterprise for I am also a believer in applying real focus on something constructive, like building bridges in the world community through co-operation in order to tackle issues such as poverty, health and education since by working together in partnership it will make a visible difference to people's lives. Having said that those bridges need to be fortified and rooted into the mind of those taking part in their construction in order to make them stable and so the need to be prepared to face the ups and downs in life are of paramount importance since a good education is, in my view, the most important start and tool in life anyone can have for I believe that learning is for life and the price is a good education.  I am still dreaming of a world without suffering, hunger or violence where justice and peace can walk side by side in harmony and amity. I must say that all that sounds pleasantly pleasant to my ear which in my opinion requires reflection and consideration.
