Ingrid Alvarado Fernandez my first serious girlfriend, had a sharp tongue and a short fuse and far too often her ire pointed to irrational demeanour as she demanded more and more of me. The unforeseen once arrived when I was unexpectedly given short shrift by Ingrid after a telling off as she thought I had turned up late for her birthday party even though I kept telling her that I was dead on time. It was a shot across the bow to my pride since I thought that she was head over heels in love with me. I then met Sally who gave me a much-needed shot in the arm as she lent me a shoulder to cry on. I needed the encouragement to carry on for I was dispirited with the feeling that life was not worth living as I felt there and then that I had been short-changed by Ingrid's spurn since I was desperate in love with her. I then decided that I would shoot the works on a holiday to Spain and asked Sally to come with me. Soon after Sally and I were married and we are still living happily ever after.
