Rays did it! Rays victory against the mighty Red Sox last night at Tropicana Field is a measurement of how well they have played this season!
20 October 2008
Tampa Bay Rays   3  Boston Red Sox   1

The concept of hedonism was defined and absorbed in full by the die-hard Rays' fans at Tropicana Field last night and spread along the shores of Tampa Bay as the Rays defeated the Red Sox in game seven to go on and challenge the Philadelphia Phillies for the right to be crowned Major League Baseball 2008 World Champions. Indeed, it is a fact that one's needs and desires often determine what one achieves in life and Matt Garza proved that point on the mound last night in front of an admiring throng, which was still licking their wounds from the night before, as he delivered a wonderful performance which brought the passion out of the fans' emotions. Pride was at play and they, the fans, of brazen voice were shouting as loud as a violent whirlwind and demanding nothing less than a victory to requite what they suffered in game six the night before last.  Albeit, in the very first inning the Red Sox showed open disrespect for the authority of Matt Garza on the mound, as Dustin Pedroia hit a solo homer off him to the furthest part of the left field, which silenced the crowd and ignited fear in the heart of the faithful, Garza enfolded the airy blast calmly and raised his game to stop Boston scoring again. Final score:  Rays   3   Red Sox  1
