All eyes and minds were all fixed upon Cole Hamels of the Philadelphia Phillies as he mounted his private stage on the mound and delivered a performance of greatest heights last night at Dodgers Stadium. Indeed, it was a very imaginative performance that covered LA's moon in darkness in a night which was full of feeling of anticipation and hopes of divine intervention. An enthusiastic throng came to see the Dodgers lift the darkness that was covering Los Angeles' moon last night instead they were made to witness the arm of a hurler tossing the destruction of a forlorn hope which their team had to shine in this series. On reflection, it is no surprise to see the Phillies cutting back long hopes of winning Major League Baseball 2008 World Series since they have not, so far, failed to demonstrate their ability to endure heavy blows, respond in kind and come on top time and time again this season. Indeed, the Dodgers were utterly undone by Hamels' sharpness of mind and arm which I thought were quite incredible in a night where the die-hard Dodgers' fans thought was reserved for resurrection and miracles. Nevertheless, those thoughts fell on their own swords as the Dodgers were made to pass under the yoke of ignominy by the Phillies in their own backyard.  Final score:  Phillies 5   Dodgers  1
