The after match mood in the Dodgers' dugout turned cold enough to freeze the tail off a brass monkey as they tumbled, neck and crop in the eighth when they took fright and flopped miserably in front of their own adoring fans at Dodgers Stadium last night as the Phillies scored four times in that inning to literally put the game to bed. It must be said that not everything in LA Dodgers is in apple-pie order since home advantage was not an advantage after all as they were defeated by a side which has not the same parity, on paper that is, with the Dodgers. Having said that the only chance the Dodgers have, as I see it, of overturning Phillies' advantage now is a forlorn hope which appears to be only in the mind of their die-hard fans but not in the belief of baseball's connoisseurs. Final score:   Phillies  7   Dodgers  5
