A mixed message that grates on me!

The latest wave of seers say that it will be an easy task for the Mets to win the National East Major League Baseball this season now that they have placed themselves in such a commanding position. It is a bit nettled to hear what is being said since not so long ago the opposite was said by the same people who write the headlines. Still there are no sure things In Major League Baseball.  Indeed, I am story teller but my raison d'être is that of a debonair and unclenched honest writer who is always conscious about the damage which is often caused by those whose pens seem to squirt deadly ink while producing impeachable displeasure on a massive scale. One could say that I am being awfully critical of critics but I am fully aware that journalism feed off sensationalism to their stories as it is the main sauce that makes its reputation to come to light so that it can attract the interest of the literate people in the street.  In the upside there is some sense of direction by my wading in with a few truths about the press as there are benevolence and depravities which need to be captured by reporters and publicise for our benefit; I can sense your thoughts and hopefully you can sense mine but one must keep an open mind over exaggerated news. Be on your guards! A large chalice of red wine has suddenly been placed on my lap by my wife as we make our way to New York and within minutes the instantly recognisable skyline of the Big Apple crammed into sight. This wonderful city and its breathtaking skyline is home not only to those native to these shores but to those who by choice have willingly settled in its surroundings. Shea Stadium is our destination, a natural site to spot stars as the Mets entertain the Philadelphia Phillis in what promises to be a wonderful match. Many New York Mets' fan think that the winner of this series will go on to win the Play-off and the October classic and I find it very hard to disagree with them for they are the best current teams, in my opinion, in Major League Baseball. Mike Pelfrey has been announced as the opening pitcher for the Mets tonight and I am very confident that he will deliver, as he often does, an expected home win for the Mets.
