Mets' bullpen hopped on board the winning ship once more last night as it set sail to curb the Brewers' pretensions in a match where the whole Mets team contributed to the outcome of it as they scraped past the hosts in the tenth inning. Rookie, opening pitcher, Jonathan Niese was given an opportunity to show his worth and indeed he had a good start as he showed his pitching capabilities in a promising display of guts an enterprise; however, his debut was soon cut short as he was substituted in the fourth by Nelson Figueroa when he allowed his natural diffidence get the better of him as the Brewers scored four times to square the match.  Injured-plagued, Carlos Beltran produced a three-run home run in the third inning to put the Mets ahead but that advantage was all wiped out in the fourth inning when the Brewers managed to yield some fun of their own which enlightened diversion in the heart of the Brewers' supporters. From there on the match became an enthralling one as a few quakes of nerves were in display so much so that even the fans had their occasional odd slip up since beakers of beer were being unintentionally spilt over people's heads as the game reached its most intense point. That point arrived in the top of tenth inning when Dan Murphy scored what eventually became the winning run as the Brewers were unable to respond in kind at the bottom of that inning.  As it was expected the Brewers fans' emotions were a little subdued by the experience of having lost twice on the trot to the Mets but there was life still in some of them as they carried on enjoying the entertainment that the bar was providing for their benefit at the end of the match.  Final score: Mets  6  Brewers  5
