Mets were not the masters at Shea Stadium yesterday afternoon as Josh Johnson had a gigantic influence over that judgement!
11 August 2008
Florida Marlins  8  New York Mets  2

The Florida Marlins threw off their scales as snakes slough off their old skin before the match at Shea Stadium yesterday afternoon as Josh Johnson opened in full bloom a spirited performance which pierced the heart and the passion of the die-hard New York Mets' fans. Indeed, Johnson bided no nonsense as he kept the Mets tethered to a low score for most of the afternoon; he held the bent camber beautifully and at a pace, and his 95 miles per hour fast pitch was most impressive and in plain sight of a grey sky which did not look very healthy during the contest. Nevertheless, Johnson did not care too much about the weather since at the end of the match he was portraying the smiling figure of joy and happiness which often is the result of having had a good game.  Final score:  Marlins  8  Mets  2
