Spanglefish Gold Status Expired 10/06/2010.
The crack of the bat from Murphy's swing uplifted the crowd in the sixth from the edge of their seats as the ball cleared the yard into a buoyant reaction of support for the Mets in the left field!

New York Mets  8  Florida Marlins  6

The final outcome of the positioning of the teams in the National League East might not be made known to the world of baseball until the time is ripe. Take notice of this for the hunters and their hounds are poised to strike at first sight since they are keen and hungry for success. Nevertheless, the veins of the Earth have been troubled with many storms in recent times that it would be a real gamble to predict which team will go on to the playoffs and dispute for the right to be at the 2008 World Series Major League Baseball and serve us another finish of those that have gone before. The whispers are that the Mets are good enough to win this year the most coveted prize in Baseball and judging for the way they played last night at Shea Stadium when they defeated the Florida Marlins I dare not think otherwise.  Indeed, the mind can hold as many thoughts as the sea can hold fish but it must be said that only a fool rushes into predicting the outcome of this dog fight. The force was with the Mets from the start last night as they scored four runs including a two-run homer courtesy of, in form, Carlos Delgado.  Albeit, the Marlins tied the game in the top of the six the Mets were always one step ahead of the opposition as Daniel Murphy and Carlos Beltran responded well to the threat and went over the yard in the top of the six and seventh inning respectively to put the game to bed and made it safe for the Mets.  Final score:  Mets  8   Marlins  6
