"Heads might role," without mincing his words, the skipper was reported to have echoed to his players in the eve of the opening game of this new series!  For all that, they seemed to have given heed to what the manager put them in mind of at the start of this series since they responded positively to the heed as they defeated the visitors in another enthralling match at Shea Stadium. The contribution of Fernando Tatis to the cause was fundamental since he produced his eighth and ninth homer in the third and six inning respectively. The latter literally put the game to bed as the Padres did not respond well after that powerful stroke from Tatis.  Although, Mike Pelfrey conceded two solo homers during the match he was able to steady the ship and take the victory.  Final score:  Mets  6  Padres  5
