Training starts this Saturday 02/07/2008 at 1 o'clock in Dulwich Park ! 29 July 2008 Welcome to Figueras Baseball Academy Web site!Figueras Baseball Academy is the first complete baseball package for young potential baseball players in Britain. By joining us, you will become part of an organisation whose main objective is to improve the game of those who are interested in the game of baseball. We will teach you the theoretical and practical skills you will need to become an accomplished player if you are prepared to work hard as you might see yourself going places sooner than you can imagine. We encourage and help players to develop their skills so that they can enhance their performance on the field of playing. Our aim is to offer an opportunity to young people to try baseball as a way to get off the street and out of trouble by concentrating on playing baseball with the view to make a living in the game in the time to come. No one can guarantee that every player will make Major League Baseball but there a number of countries where baseball is played as a professional game and they are always in the look out for new talents. Italy, Holland, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Taiwan and Venezuela come to mind. Indeed, We are fully aware that learning is for life and the price is a good educationn and at a time when the world is blighted by a not cool to be clever attitude with a growing number of children failing to meet the academic requirement needed to be socially successful the need for stressing the moral values prescribed by society has never been so weighty, Figueras Baseball Academy has been launched with the purpose of giving a learning hand and advice to parents on how to get their offsprings enthusiastic about learning the game of baseball and softball. It is the view of the academy that parents ought to emphasise to their kids the importance of learning an interest in finding out about things, in order to stimulate their curiosity, and, of course, we encourage parents to support their children's school by attending open days and building relationships with coaches and galvanise their kids to think about education in the long term. There is wisdom in taking an interest in what is going on in the world and we are delighted to offer a breath of fresh air to the world and its social issues by opening a window of learning to everyone. Absolutely, we care for the world and its social issues and we think that it would be selfish if we said that it had nothing to do with us just simply because it does not affect us; on the contrary, we think we should always help when there is a problem in the world and give its misery a well-needed touch of guidance. The aim of the academy is excellence for All and it will continue to build on achieving high moral principles and straightforwardness through its enterprise.P.Figueras
