Santana experienced very little opposition last night at Shea Stadium as he did not allow the Cardinals a single hit in the first four innings and six overall in nine.  Everything fell out just as it was devised as it fell out that Santana had spoken to Aaron Heilman and wagner about the possibility of his being on the mound till the end of the game last night. Santana was as good as his word and he went all the way to the ninth and the quality of his throwing was as good as we have expected to see ever since his arrival from Minnesota.  Fernando Tatis, Ramon Castro and David Wright were staple contributors of the victory as they went over the fence as the besieged Cardinals were forced to give in as they ran out of ammunition. Final score: Cardinals  1  Mets  9
