Albert Pujols two-run homer in the fourteenth inning made  the shoulders of those who bear the weight of the field at Shea Stadium last night crumbled under the awakening prowess of a big hitter.  Indeed, miracles may be hard to come by these days in the States but Albert Pujols' monster swing produced a gargantuan two-run homer in the fourteenth inning which was mighty celebrated in St. Louis to defeat the Mets who had level the score in the ninth with a mammoth homer off the bat of Fernando Tatis. Mets fans did not have a good night last night at Shea Stadium; nevertheless, they still have so much to look forward to for it has been inscribed in the breeze that they are a team capable of going further than they aspire to this season since they have the personnel and the tools to do a grand job from now onwards. Final score: St, Louis   10  Mets  8
