 "Having said how well behaved the boys can be......                                  On Saturday I made some really nice chestnut soup.  Doug and I were tucking in when there was a knock at the door and the telephone rang at the same time - he went to the door, I answered the phone ( and, seeing my camera on the floor, picked it up as I went)..... 

 ........This picture was taken very quickly, then I got a little nearer...... 

 ........he was lapping VERY quickly by now.........and I snapped the last just as he looked up and denied wholeheartedly that it was him!!!!  Well, I did say the soup was very nice........ "

    Poor Pat.....and poor Finlay (Smudge's brother), who can be seen in the first picture, hiding under the table and looking very anxious about his bad brother's shocking behaviour!
