I have just finished Neil Thomas' "One Hour Wargames" book. Some very good ideas, especially the 30 scenarios. I have tried a Napoleonic Game, American Civil War and Pike and Shot game and all play very well and swiftly. I tend to agree with Mr Thomas that simple rules are not always unrealistic.

Well worth trying.
