I have just completed a re-fight of the English Civil War (Scotland and Ireland took no part in this re-fight). The campaign comprised of 6 battles, although depending on how things pan out there could be more!

I used DB-RRR rules with my own adaptation to incorporate mixed Pike/Shot elements.

The first battle took place in the North of England and was won by the Royalists. However they suffered quite heavy losses they were never able to replace.

The battles in the Midlands, East of England, South and West Country all resulted in victories for Parliament with low casualties.

This left the Royalists isolated in the North of England. They were attacked by the Parliamentary forces from the Midlands and although they were outnumbered the Royalists put up a tough fight before being beaten thus ensuring the war was won for Parliament.
