For Joss at Deerplay hill trial! 

Yup, Joss, 650 yards uphill... to that dent on the skyline. Not very many points, but,  though dangerously close to a cross, he got there, retrieved his sheep, narrowly missed final drive gates, and in very good company failed to pen... This is a tremendous trial to watch, and I am proud of Joss.

Bob and Shep are in with a chance of being in the top twenty, so may have to return tomorrow for the double gather champs. There were many good dogs to follow after we left however, so will wait and see! 

first day was won by D Scrimgeour and Fleece... Bob was in so back we went next day

to begin the trial by 11.00 when the fog lifted enough for the letter outers to locate the sheep.

This is a truly great trial, the dog work on the second day is riveting,won by Chloe Cropper with a paw perfect run. Bob and Shep came 5th, a briliant result, we were very happy. And we didn't get lost in Burnley or Colne on the way home! a mega plus.
