Wonderful weekend at the International !
14 September 2009

First of all a huge Thank you to TeamTalraz who held the fort while we were away !   A large pot of home made plum jam with chrystalised wasps is fermenting its way to them as we speak... Give you a real buzz ...

The most important event of the weekend ; the presentation of the Wilkinson's sword to Allan and Mary Heaton

an award that was over due, in my opinion, and richly deserved !

Running on well  presented mule shearlings over a challenging course, dogs had to be well prepared and well handled on the day.   My personal favourite moments were J P Magee and Becca's beautiful shed on the final day of all fifteen unwanted sheep in one cut, plus Aled Owen's gentlemanly handling of his hot tired dog at the same point.   It sank up to its elbows in a small bucket of water at the handler's post.

He calmly continued to position himself to get his shed and only called the dog up when every thing was so set up !

It is not just the winners who catch your eye !

Killiebrae Belle passed her eye test, and her litter sister very nearly qualified for the last day !

J P Magee's Killiebrae Nell, surounded by fans, after her run in the qualifying round at the International !

"We were THAT CLOSE"!
