Wednesday, 1 October 1873. Lunched at S.Lodge & sat with Mary afterwards.

Thursday, 2 October 1873. Lunched in Norfolk Square. Bob arrived in the evening.

Friday, 3 October 1873. We went to Hampton’s to choose a carpet & to Rosallie’s to get a pier glass. In the afternoon we went to see Isabella. Dined at Sunderland Lodge.

Saturday, 4 October 1873. Went to kill & Saunders to have Bob’s photo taken. Lunched at Sunderland Lodge & dined in Norfolk Square, Charlie & aunt Margaret also dined there.

Sunday, 5 October 1873. Went to church morning & evening & to S.Lodge in the afternoon.

Monday, 6 October 1873. We went to Bensons to choose a clock. Lunched at S.Lodge. Bob left at 5 o’clock.

Tuesday, 7 October 1873. Lunched with Bella. We could not go out as it was so wet.

Wednesday, 8 October 1873. Lunched at S.Lodge.

Thursday, 9 October 1873. Went with Papa to cancel green cemetery & afterwards lunched with my aunts.

Friday, 10 October 1873. Lunched with Bella

Went to meet Auntie at the G.W.station on her way from Bristol, we went out driving with her & she sent me home in the carriage.

Saturday, 11 October 1873. Lunched in Norfolk Square & afterwards went with aunt Georgiana to see Mrs Bennett & then I went to see Mary. Charlie & Mary walked part of the way home with me.

Sunday, 12 October 1873. Walked to S.Lodge.

Monday, 13 October 1873. Lunched with Auntie & went with her to the dentist. Had tea with Bella.

Tuesday, 14 October 1873. Lunched with Mary. Mrs Gloag called & I walked part of the way home with her.

Wednesday, 15 October 1873. Lunched with Bella. Auntie, Polly & Clayton also had lunch there. We went for a drive & I ordered Auntie’s present[?].

Thursday, 16 October 1873. Lunched with Mary & went with her to Marshall & Snelgrove’s.

Friday 17 October 1873. Called on Mrs Child, Evelyn Warre, Mrs Fenn & Mrs Moore. Bob came up.

Saturday, 18 October 1873. We lunched with Auntie. Isabella came after lunch. We dined in Sunderland Lodge.

Sunday, 19 October 1873. We went to the new church morning & evening. We lunched in Norfolk Square.

Monday, 20 October 1873. Bob & I went toOickett[?] & Afterwards to lunch at S.Lodge. We walked home. Bob left by the 5.39 train for Burton.

Tuesday, 21 October 1873. Went into my district. Wet afternoon.

Wednesday, 22 October 1873. Went out with Mary. Papa came to dinner. Auntie left for Malvern.

& to Maggie, sent my photo to her.

Friday, 24 October 1873. Went to the committee room & to see Mr Wright. Called on Miss Rougemont.

Saturday, 25 October 1873. Went to fetch May, we went to see aunt Emily.

Sunday, 26 October 1873. Went to church morning & evening & took a walk round by Notting Hill.

Monday, 27 October 1873. Took May home. Mary & I lunched with Mrs Arnold. Mrs James was there.

Tuesday, 28 October 1873. Lunched with Bella, Mary came & we all went for a drive together. I ordered my wreath.

Wednesday, 29 October 1873. Lunched with Bella. Polly & Clayton also came to lunch. We went out driving. Frank Bert[?] Called.

Thursday, 30 October 1873. R.T.’s birthday. I lunched with Bella & went to Norfolk Square afterwards.

Friday, 31 October 1873. Went to the committee room & then into my district.

Saturday, 1 November 1873. Lunched with Mary, Papa came over & we drove home.

Sunday to 2 November 1873. Went to church in the morning & to Norfolk Square after lunch. Wet evening.

Monday, 3 November 1873. Lunched with Mary & went out driving with her & Mrs Arnold, we chose the bridesmaids wreaths.

Tuesday, 4 November 1873. Lunched with Bella. We went out driving together. Went to see the Miss Rougemonts.

Wednesday, 5 November 1873. Went to see aunt Emily & went to church.

Thursday, 6 November 1873. Went to see Mary.

Friday, 7 November 1873. Bob came up.

Saturday, 8 November 1873. We went to Norfolk Square & dined at the Lodge Mrs

Lochwood also dined there.

Sunday, 9 November 1873. Went to church morning. Did not go out again.

Monday, 10 November 1873. We went out shopping. Called on Mrs Norman & then aunts & dined in S.Terrace.

Tuesday, 11 November 1873. We went down to Guildford to see Alice, returned home to dinner.

Wednesday, 12 November 1873. Went out shopping, lunched with Bella & called on aunt Emily & the Miss Rougemonts. Bob left at five top 30. I saw him off at the station.

Thursday, 13 November 1873. Lunched with Bella & went out shopping with her afterwards.

Friday, 14 November 1873. Lunched with Bella & then went to see my aunts & Mary.

Saturday, 15 November 1873. Gave out the blankets in my district. After lunch called on Miss Parkinson, Mrs Moore,Cleo[?] Daniell & went to the cemetery. File T_054.bmp

Sunday, 16 November 1873. Went to church morning & evening & to Norfolk Square in the afternoon.

Monday, 17 November 1873. Went to Mrs Bennett to try my dress sees on, lunched with Isabella & then went with her to Marshall’s.

Tuesday, 18 November 1873. Went to Sunderland Lodge to see Mrs Thornewill & lunched there. After lunch we went to Marshall’s to choose her dress.

Wednesday, 19 November 1873. Went to see Isabella Rougemont before lunch. Mrs Thornewill came in the afternoon to see me.

Thursday, 20 November 1873. After lunch walked with Papa to Sunderland Terrace.

Friday, 21 November 1873. Lunched with Bella & dined in Norfolk Square. Harry staying there, aunt Marjorie came to dinner.

Saturday, 22 November 1873. Lunched with my aunts, went to see Mary & Charlie afterwards. Mrs Thornewill walked part of the way home with me.

Sunday, 23 November 1873. Went to church in the morning & to Norfolk Square after lunch. Mrs Badnall[?] Called.

Monday, 24 November 1873. Florence came to lunch. I went to see the Miss Rougemont’s.

Tuesday, 25 November 1873. Lunched at Sunderland Lodge. Went with Mrs Thornewill to Highbury to call on Mrs Stead. Had tea at Mrs Arnold’s & drove home.

Wednesday, 26 November 1873. Mrs Edwards died. Lunched in Sussex Square. Polly & Clayton were there. Went out driving with Auntie & Polly. Had tea at bellows.

Thursday, 27 November 1873. Bob came up.

Friday, 28 November 1873. Went to see Charlie. Lunched at St James’s Hall & dined in Norfolk Square.

Saturday, 29 November 1873. Called on Agnes bunter[?] & Lunched with Bella. Went to S.Lodge & dined with Mr & Mrs child.

Tuesday, 30 November 1873. Went to church morning & evening. Lunched in S.Terrace.

Monday, 1 December 1873. We went to S.Terrace & signed the solicitors[?] Deeds. Lunched at Charlie’s office. Came home & packed up our presents & took them to Cay.G.Square. Came home to dinner & Bob left afterwards.

Tuesday, 2 December 1873. Our wedding day. The service was at 11.30 at the parish church, Kensington, by the Rev. C.F.Thornewill, assisted by the Rev. W Wright. After service we went to see aunt Emma & Nellie Johnston. Breakfast at Mr Arnold’s at

1 o’clock; we left at 3 o’clock for Salisbury.

Wednesday, 3 November 1873. Went to the Cathedral service & afterwards drove in a pony Shays to Wilton (White Hart).

Thursday, 4 December 1873. We drove to Stonehenge. Left by the 4 o’clock train for Exeter.

Friday, 5 December 1873 (Clarence hotel). went to see the Cathedral & walked through the town. After lunch called on Mrs James & left by the 3 o’clock train for Torquay.

Saturday, 6 December 1873 (Imperial hotel). Walked to cocking to church. In the evening walked in the ??? And listened to the band, we sat out till 9.30.

Sunday, 7 December 1873. Went to St John’s church in the morning & afternoon church in the evening.

Monday, 8 December 1873. Left Torquay at 11 o’clock & drove to Totnes. After lunch we walked to Berry Pomeroy Castle. (Seymour hotel).

Tuesday, 9 December 1873. We started by boat at 10 o’clock for Dartmouth, had lunch there & left by the 3 o’clock train for Bideford stopping at Exeter. We arrived at Bideford soon after 6 o’clock & went to the new in. Wrote to Maggie.

Wednesday, 10 December 1873. We drove to Clovelly, walked through [???? ???]. After lunch we went down to the sea, a lovely place & then we walked through the hobby & the carriage met us.

Thursday, 11 December 1873. We left Bideford by the 10.45 train & arrived at Barnstaple before 12 o’clock. We walked from their to Ilfracombe stopping at Braunton to have our lunch (a very good one!).

Friday, 12 December 1873. We walked to Lee

& missed our way home!

Saturday, 13 December 1873. We left Ilfracombe by coach lunching at Bideford & then went by train to Clifton to stay with the Warrens.

Sunday, 14 December 1873. Went to church morning & evening. After lunch we took a walk.

Monday, 15 December 1873. Walked into Bristol to see St Mary Redciffe[1]. Mr & Mrs Gill & Mr McPherson came to dinner.

Tuesday, 16 December 1873 we went to Bath to see aunt Eliza & uncle Jenks, we lunched with them.

Wednesday, 17 December 1873. We left for Eyam, arriving there about five top 30.

Thursday, 18 December 1873. Went to the hall. Maggie & Harriet Wright took a walk with us.

Friday, 19 December 1873. We took a walk on the moors.

Saturday, 20 December 1873. We drove to Langstone to call on Miss Wright.

Sunday, 21 December 1873. Went to church in the morning.

Monday, 22 December 1873. We paid some visits & in the afternoon.

Tuesday, 23 December 1873. Full’s birthday. We left by the 2 o’clock train for Burton. The bells rang on our arrival home. We unpacked our presents after dinner.

Wednesday, 24 December 1873. Modern & I took a walk toDrakelow.

Thursday, 25 December 1873 (Christmas Day). Went to church in the morning. Took a walk in the afternoon.

Friday, 26 December 1873. Mr & Mrs Warham called. We took a walk.

Saturday 27 December 1873. We went for a walk.

Sunday, 28 December 1873. Went to church morning & evening.

Monday, 29 December 1873. Went out in the

morning & had visitors in the afternoon.

Tuesday, 30 December 1873. Did not go out.

Wednesday, 31 December 1873. Went out in the morning. Charles Liggie[?] &T. Kilturn[?] Came to supper, we fab[?] The old year out & the New Year in.
