Braemore to Gobernuisgeach Bothy. 8/11/2009

The original idea for the walk was to watch the salmon spawning on Berriedale Water. Because of the heavy rain on the previous few days this was no longer feasable. Instead we decided to walk from Braemore to Gobernuisgrach Bothy. It was a beautiful winters day with no wind, a clear blue sky and a hard frost. The  puddles on the track were frozen over and any sheltered ground out of the suns reach was white with frost.

The bothy was in a good state of repair and the visitors book showed that people had been there recently. We sat outside for lunch as it was warmer than inside the bothy. We returned a different way by crossing the swing bridge near the bothy and heading back for Corrichchoich . By the time we returned to our cars it was quite dark.
