Achalone to Acharole. 5/1/14.

The first walk of the new year. It was a lovely frosty day with a low sun shining which made driving and walking hard on the eyes. We parked the cars at Achalone and walked up the track which  connects with the path from Banniskirk Mains through to Dunn. The path was very boggy in parts but the views all round were amazing. 

We had a stop for lunch, then continued the walk down through Backlass Moss. It was even wetter here and we ended up following the fence which ran parallel with the forest as the ground was raised along side it. We eventually reached Acharole with some rather soggy feet.
