what are sub bugs

unlike normal deerhair divers that dive below the water sub bugs add a new dimension to the diver by adding weight via either the hook or eyes the sub bug will do many things .

by using a lightweight hook and using on a floating line the fly will skip across the surface of the water with a very slight gliding left to right motion .

by tying the fly on various weights of hook will see the fly go from a fast sink to a very slow sinking fly with a very pronounced side to side action and by tying in various materials for the tail sections you get probably one of the most devastating predator flies on the planet
