These are my thoughts, feelings and fears shared with you all! My mother says we are very brave, my Dad, well, what does he think? Mad, stupid, crazy idiots? Who knows! Dads are very secretive!Plan of Attack!by David - 19:16 on 12 January 2008Well today I have attacked the utility. The little window has been replaced with a nice stained glass one. The rotten door has has gone..no more wind and rain driving under! We have also started plastering the 'little room' at the end. While this was going someone has attacked the overgrown hedge at the front of the house. Looks like someone will be going to the dump with all the trimmings!Comment from Wendy & David at 23:31 on 28 January 2008. Thank you for your support and interest! This weekend we have attacked the 10ft hedge obscuring the front of the lovely Hall...now we can all see it, in all its glory! Look forward to seeing you at the 'Uncle C Evening'! You and your family will be most welcome.Comment from Alan Doe at 12:03 on 08 March 2008. I grew up in Hockham. In the early 1980's when I was in my early teens me & my friends would shelter under the porch at the back of the house. It was quite handy when the weather was bad, although a little bit creepy!Comment from Wendy & David at 20:38 on 15 March 2008. Hi Alan!As the place is still a building site, we are living out of two rooms...it is still creepy, particularly on a windy night! The night of the earthquake the whole bed shook and rattled on the bare floorboards...my first thought was poltergiest and we had upset someone! Keep in touch! Comment from Matt & Anna at 15:41 on 25 March 2008. Hi Wendy & DavidGreat website and wonderful to see the great work you're both doing - as I am sure everyone is in the village, we are so grateful you rescued Home Hall! Give me a shout if you need a hand or want to borrow a cement mixer! All the best Matt (The Old Stores, Hockham) Comment from Wendy & David at 19:52 on 25 March 2008. Hi Matt and Anna!Thank you for your support! When we come to render the external wall, or build that brick wall, we may ask to borrow your mixer!
