Victorian Room

Below there is a photograph showing the room as it was. The room next door had a small walk in cupboard in the corner. Once this was removed (only chipboard) we were able to access this bedroom from next bedroom! We decided to give each room some extra space for an alcove, or a built in display cabinet. Either way, the new wall had to be substancial and soundproofed! With the ceiling now vaulted it has become a more open space, rather than opressive.

The room as it was.	Plaster stripped, ceiling down, complete with a nest, dead birds and dust. Ceiling lifted to show the rafters.
The original fireplace still in place and a view of the thick, clay lump walls.	The original doorway has been bricked up to allow the Georgian Room to be slightly bigger. The new doorway leads into the dressing room, which leads into the bathroom.
All plastered, waiting for it to dry, then we can start painting!
