The Wall Fell Out!
Before receiving the key to our new home, a rather large portion of the wall fell out, 9ft by 4ft wide! The cause: the clay lump had got very damp, due to a layer of concrete covering the lime plaster. Motto of the story: always recheck a property BEFORE completion!

Pipes, Boards and Tools
This was a catalogue of disasters! There is quite a knack to cutting and removing a portion of a floorboard. A specialist 'floorboard saw' is advisable for this project. The boards are thick, tongued and grooved. In the process three drill bits and a chisel got broken! The radiator is still not connected, as on two occasions to fill the rad with water....yes...it leaked! (June - yes Summer, and it doesn't leak any more!)

Blockage Again
The septic tank and another blockage. The first was in the middle of an England rugby game and it was dark.

Smashing!
Whoops! While throwing out rubble from the bedroom window . . . it broke the window pane of the window below! Sunday 10th Feb.

What's he smiling about? He just slipped off the joist and put his foot through the ceiling. My new bedroom ceiling! That's another job to go back and do!

Whoops! High winds brought down a sheet of corrugated tin roof, from the scaffolding, right through MY windshield! Could have been my head!

Digging the footings for the new garage, the digger sank and the footings filled up with water!
