The Wall Fell Out!Before receiving the key to our new home, a rather large portion of the wall fell out, 9ft by 4ft wide! The cause: the clay lump had got very damp, due to a layer of concrete covering the lime plaster. Motto of the story: always recheck a property BEFORE completion! | Pipes, Boards and ToolsThis was a catalogue of disasters! There is quite a knack to cutting and removing a portion of a floorboard. A specialist 'floorboard saw' is advisable for this project. The boards are thick, tongued and grooved. In the process three drill bits and a chisel got broken! The radiator is still not connected, as on two occasions to fill the rad with water....yes...it leaked! (June - yes Summer, and it doesn't leak any more!) |

Blockage AgainThe septic tank and another blockage. The first was in the middle of an England rugby game and it was dark. | Smashing!Whoops! While throwing out rubble from the bedroom window . . . it broke the window pane of the window below! Sunday 10th Feb. |
