Kitchen in Dec '06
This was our challenge. Once we got started we found that the clay lump walls were very damp,

...so we had to remove all the old plaster, and concrete, re-wire, re-plumb and then plaster.

Space for the Rayburn
This window needed lifting, so that it was above the height of the kitchen cuboards.

...and the doorway through to the old log store, for the new utility room.

Kitchen in June
Re-wired, plumbed and plastered.

Rayburn has arrived!
Yes it had arrived, but is not connected! Another job to do.

Our new kitchen?
The kitchen was built around the Rayburn.

More cupboards!
August the kitchen was almost completed. Just waiting for delivery of the granite top for the centre island.

The Finished Kitchen
September 07 - the granite top arrived for the centre island. Now we are finished.
