Rob Walker

Rob Walker graduated successfully from Gray's School of Art with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art in July 2006, having studied print making.
He takes his inspirations from his family home and associated landscape in and around Argyll. He makes limited edition prints which he then hand colours using varying tones of indian ink. His compositions are an arrangement of objects, placed together to form an aesthetically pleasing and intriguing print.
Rob has had considerable success of late, winning both the Royal Scottish Academy Printmaking Award and the Royal Scottish Academy David Gordon Memorial Prize at the student exhibition in Edinburgh. Recently he was also awarded a Royal Scottish Academy John Kinross Scholarship to spend time in Florence, Italy to further his interest in art.
In October 2006 Rob was awarded a prize by the Royal Glasgow Institute at their Fine Arts Exhibition. He has been given the use of the RGI Kelly Gallery for a solo exhibition of his work which will be held in 2008.
