Captured moments and the pure enjoyment of my home environment, whether it is a mountain top, forest, a tree or a leaf.
The lady of the woods, the silver birch tree, in her strength and beauty and pioneering role, inspires me greatly.
I revel in the sense of place and the journey that walking through the landscape in all of the season’s presents.
It is the land, in its might and beauty, it ferocity and calm, that causes me to wonder at the place I call home.
I work in a mixture of mediums. I enjoy being able to work fast and in layers. Drawing is nearly always a dominant aspect of my work: I like the delicacy of line and the energy and immediacy it can convey.
I have exhibited widely in the UK and also in New Zealand, with work in many private collections. I have an exhibition “White Lines: Line in the landscape” at Kilmartin House Museum opening on 6th June and running until the end of August ( you may pass it on the way to other venues – stop and have a look and a coffee!)
