It seems like it will be nice to get back to work tomorrow, to have a rest after such a hectic weekend, which started on Friday evening after finishing in the grooming parlour with the drive up to Prudhoe to pick up Cath, who was to be Liz's co-judge at the Bearded Collie Club of Scotland's Open Show.  Together we did the long drive up to Alva, near Stirling, in preparation for our Saturday judging duties - Cath the breed classes and Liz the obedience.

We had a lovely day but then there was the long drive home followed by an early start the next morning for Blackpool Championship Show.

This show will have to go down in the record books as one of the worst-hit by unfortunate weather condtions!   Last year torrential rain, this year high winds which tore the tents down, producing impossibly dangerous conditions.  The show was abandoned by around 12.30 as nervous exhibitors queued to escape the muddy car park.

Ellie and Honey thought it was great fun and hugely much more exciting than usual.  They came home with a third in Graduate and a second in Post-Graduate respectively from our speedy and under the circumstances remarkably composed judge Bryony Harcourt-Brown.
