We always enjoy Ryedale Show for its traditional agricultural atmosphere, and this year we took a team of four - Lacey, Beattie, Honey and Ruby.  Honey was having her first outing in the show ring for quite a while, as she has been busy restoring her coat to a suitably fit state following her maternity break, and she was very full of herself!

 Lacey took second in Junior, and Best Puppy in Breed, as well as first in AV Pastoral Puppy under judge Mrs D L Jones (Erjon), and also first in AV Puppy Bitch under Mrs Louise Pinkney (Hydebeck)

Beattie won the Bearded Collie Post-Graduate class, and Honey and Ruby took first and third in Open respectively, although pipped for BOB by the lovely Junior winner, Linda Peirson's German import "Somer" - such a pity Linda had to get away for work duties and couldn't stay for Best In Show, though. We finally got away just after 7pm after a very long  wait for the Best Puppy challenge, but luckily for us this show is only a short drive home

Laura made use of her time between dog handling duties to check out the small furry pets, and to her great joy now has her name on a couple of rather nice baby guinea pigs!
