Judging Trip to Czech Republic

It was a great honour for Liz to be invited to judge Bearded Collies in the Czech Republic, thank you so much to the committee for their kind invitation and the wonderful hospitality, and to the exhibitors who brought their Beardies to the Club show.....

Prague is a very beautiful and historic city, and thanks to Lenke and Pavel, and the Jezkova family, there were opportunities for sightseeing and exploring, not just in Prague, but also in the UNESCO project town of Telc (well worth a visit!) and Jihlava itself, venue for the show

There were some super Bearded Collies present, over eighty entries, from which Liz selected the young dog pictured above as her Best In Show - well done!

Best Opposite Sex was this beautiful blue bitch.....

.....and above, the winning Breeder's Team, judged towards the end of the day as the rain clouds faded away and the sun finally reappeared!

The second day of the Club show was devoted to the working side, and Liz with co-judge Jana Jezkova was kept busy putting dogs through their paces in the Bearded Collie Club Working Tests.  The standard was extremely high, with high pass rates and marks gained at all four levels of testing - Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior.

Two dogs and handlers passed the very demanding senior test, pictured below modelling their special green T-shirts...congratulations!
