Unfortunately due to Jessie's sad and sudden deterioration in health, the planned happy day out at Leeds Championship ended up as a hastily-put-together version of its original self.
However we are most grateful to the team of friends who made sure all the dogs got into their classes and were presented to do us proud. Blake (T. Royal Ascot) took a third in Junior Dog, and Creaglion (T. White Feathers) a Crufts-qualifying second place in Post-Graduate, under judge of the day Mr Albert Wight
Creaglion, handled by his new "best friend" Linda
We are also delighted to report that young Lola (Talraz Wild Honey), attending her first-ever show and meeting her new handler Yvonne only very shortly before entering the ring, managed to pull it off!
Even better than we hoped - any placing would have been nice! - Lola and Yvonne came out with a magical first prize card.
A little bit of good news to cheer us all up on this saddest of days....
Very well done, Lola and Yvonne....!
