A  slightly early finish in the grooming parlour enabled Liz to slip through to the village of Eggborough near Goole, with the two pups and Honey, to take part in this evening limited show, bathed in midsummer sunshine for most of its duration - bliss!

Beattie won a strong Puppy Bitch class, and Madge won both her classes - Novice and Junior - so it was almost something of a relief that Honey was placed second in the AV Pastoral Open class, as finding a handler for the Best in Show challenge was not so easy!  A kind lady with a Tibetan Terrier was prevailed on to hold Beattie, as the more sensible puppy, which gave Madge the advantage she needed to get her nose in front for the Best Puppy award.

She went one better, and also collected the rosette for Reserve Best in Show, under judge Mr K Pursglove (Roguesmoor), so quite an evening for our little madam, pictured above posing with her awards the following day.
