This was the first time we have entered this "new" Championship show, as it has always seemed uncomfortably close to Christmas - and indeed with all the snow we have been having lately even setting off felt like something of a mad idea

However apart from the first twenty minutes or so, of minor roads well covered in the white stuff, the journey to Peterborough proved mercifully easy and uneventful for us. Though it was no surprise to find that judge Ailsa Gill had a sadly depleted entry, the winners in most classes still had enough competition to keep things interesting.

Delighted to come away with our new girl Smudge (also known as Madge!) having picked up a Crufts-qualifying third place in Minor Puppy Bitch, and Christine was very pleased with her Cawley (Talraz Piece Of Heaven) and his first in Yearling Dog plus a second in Post-Graduate

The McErlanes were also very pleased to qualify both young Blake, and his aunt Ebony, a nice way to start the showing year! Well done all....
