As a change from tinsel and turkey three of the Beardies had a trip out to Sleaford show, held in the roomy, gloomy, chilly, barn-like venue which is the Newark and Notts Showground, where so many societies have now come to roost!

With well over a thousand dogs plus their attendant humans, the show was bustling despite the unfavourable travelling conditions, and with heaters like flame-throwers scattered around roaring, it seemed possible that young Smudge could have been somewhat overawed, as she made her showing debut under her "new" name Talraz Sweet Honey.  However she took it all in her stride and came home with her first red card - alone, but well-deserved, as the saying goes.  She later topped this off with a second in the Pastoral Puppy Group.

Diva clowned her way to a reserve Best of Breed, but mainly used the day to catch up on her sleep, remarkably finding this busy show just as boring as any other - not a sheep to be seen.......!

And our dear Meg won the AV Veteran Pastoral, bless her, and is now snoozing happily on the fluffy new bed which came from one of the several well-stocked trade stands - so it obviously meets with her approval, good girl Meg
