Ross-shire Writers

We’re a small group of writers in the Dingwall area who meet weekly on Tuesday mornings from late August to the end of June -  to read and listen to each others’ work. In 2024 we began meeting in the social area of Dingwall's Men's Shed where we have been welcomed by the community-minded members.

If you are reading this and wondering if this is a good time to find out more, please contact the Secretary, Margaret Aitchison  for more information. You will be most welcome!  (anacrusis61@gmail.com)

Ross-shire Writers has published four anthologies of short stories and poetry.  We have a limited number of copies which can be obtained by contacting Louise James (clouisejames@btinternet.com)

Our Library Page is where you can read some of the poetry and stories written by our current members. These folders are updated regularly with new pieces. All prose and poetry are copyright © The Authors.

Our Publications Page is where you will find out more about our anthologies and other books published by current and former members.

On the RW News Page we will post occasional photos of outings or events of interest.

A Link to Autumn Voices ...

If you're over sixty and keen to develop your writing, why not try Autumn Voices? This charitable organisation (based in Scotland) seeks ways of encouraging and fostering creativity in later life across a wide range of activity. We run writing workshops with small groups, publish anthologies both inked-ly and digitally, and in our monthly newsletter invite poems on a topic. We also run annual competitions for poetry and short stories. Find out more at https://autumnvoices.co.uk/about/our-story/
