Today Hugh & Nell had a profitable day with Jackie & Bella working  in the big field at Kirby Misperton in beautiful sunshine.

Beardies are definitely big field, big flock dogs! Nell did some good work, obviously feeling less pressured with more space. It was very rewarding to watch her beginning to move on from just exercises to doing little jobs of work rounding up the sheep and bringing them on through the gate into the pen, completing her final session by neatly moving the sheep into the barn.

Bella  & Jackie had fun, Bella was her usual enthusiastic self & is coming along splendidly  for such a young girl. It is interesting to compare the mental maturity of Border Collies  & Beardies. Border pups can be ready for training as early as six months  while Beardies require a little more time  ........
