Bill Charles 9th Cameronians.
On behalf of a friend Jim Charles a magnificent selection of pictures belonging to his late father Bill.
Bill was rebadged to the 9th Cameronians August 1944 from the Durham Light Infantry as a replacement in Northern France.
Bill was a Bren Gun Carrier Driver with Support Company through the campaigns in the battle for Northern Europe till VE day 1945, then peace keeping till Aug 1946 and disbandment.
From Birtly Newcastle upon Tyne an honary Jock in a famous Scot's regiment with pride doing his bit.
