War Memorials.
A few years back myself and dad did a small project on memorials around Lanarkshire and other parts of the country we visited.
Unfortunately most were taken on slide film as digital was only coming into use.
Here are some which were copied or have been re done over the last couple of years. Slowly, time and money they will get printed and copied.
 Auchentibber. Between Blantyre and East Kilbride only a few houses remain. Once thriving Miners rows from the pits the memorial was built with materials from the Palace at Hamilton home of the Dukes of Hamilton demolished 1920's. |

 Cameronian Cairn Douglas. |

 Dun Memorial. A recent one we found outside Montrose, a kind lady raised monies from grant from millenium funds for this lovely stone in Dun Churchyard. Worth a visit. |
|
 Elsrickle. A story dad told me as a kid about the orphans who the proper folk would not allow on the official memorial. this wee one at the side of the road brought a lump to the throat when we visited. |

 Crossford, Clyde Valley, Lanarkshire. The memorial with drinking fountain in the orchard village Lanarkshire. |
|
 Edzell Boer War. Worth a visit, on the main road towards Laurencekirk. The WW1 meml is on the Brechin end of the village. Plenty of coffee shops as well. |
|
 Netherburn 2002. A memorial to the Netherburn Lads. |
|
 Netherburn 2013. A fair difference. |
|
 Maryton, Montrose. Two memorials, one for village and on the right the village school which is now a dwelling. Memorial relocated by the owners for all to pay respects. Only a few houses remain. |
