A number of soldiers and merchants in Russia in this period also look to be likely locals but have not been researched as yet including Henry Farquharson, numerous Gordons, George Rattray, William Riach and several Stewarts

Peter Grant and James Grant c1631- 1715   Inverness area . Battle of Dunbar 1650. Peter amongst the 140 members of Clan Grant who are said to have fought in this encounter , taken prisoner and deported -  Lynn Ironworks Massachusetts and then sawmill in Maine. etc. Joined later by James also deported as a P.O.W.
