Poetry

Interestingly poets included references to slavery

Robbie Burns (the famous Scotish poet) wrote "A Slave's Lament". Burns was actually due to become an overseer on a Plantation, but then on publication of his first book, his fortunes changed.

"The Fleece" is an epic poem written by Welshman John Dyer 1700 - 1758 in 4 volumes!

Our epic Poem "From Sheep to Sugar" will be written collectively based on the story of the hands that create the fabric, those who transport it and those you wear it, and those who enjoy the sugar produced on plantations and process it for the wealthy.
