Northfield 2014

For the fourth consecutive year the club will again be represented at the National Finals at Ayr Northfield as Shirley Bannatyne in the ladies' singles and President Jimmy Anderson and John McLean in the men's pairs fly the flag for us. THis is no mean achievement when you consider the distance the players have to travel to greens in Dunbartonshire in order to qualify. There were commendable and unfortunate near misses in the District Finals for Lorraine Brodie and Susan Andrew in the ladies' pairs and Steven Dickson, Gavin McLachlan, David Brown and Neil McCormick in the men's fours with each losing by a single shot. Even more commendable is the fact that Gavin and David even played having been involved in a serious head on crash returning from their District semi-final in Dumbarton the previous week.
