Cycling and Cycle routes

Some fine rides nearby - National Cycle Route 71 is just off the doorstep, and a route through Smardale makes a great ride.
Cycles can be hired locally, mainly at Kirkby Stephen Cycle Hire (017683 71658 or exploreoutdoor@aol.com).
