Nearly Carbon Negative

In it's first 36 months of operation, our wind turbine has produced over 7,000 units of electricity; and our 2 low energy buildings in the same time have only demanded just over 8,000 units.

Since it has been running, our Lucrezia Idro stove has provided heat and hot water for Sanctuary Barn, and has used about 5 tonnes of timber waste wood pellets.

Together, this means the property has saved at least 7 tonnes of carbon being emitted to the atmosphere, about 25% of the average US per capita output. Not a huge step, but it proves that one small property in the middle of no-where can make a difference!
