Renfrewshire Local Biodiversity Action Plan
The Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP) 2004-8 was launched on the 1st of April 2004 at the University of the West of Scotland. It covers the Council areas of Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire, and was a partnership initiative between these local authorities and a range of conservation organisations.
It includes a range of actions for identified habitats and species which will increase local biodiversity. The LBAP will also be used to raise awareness of biodiversity in the area and to involve everyone including local communities, landowners, scientists, industries and business in the process.

Renfrewshire Biodiversity Action Plan 2018-2022
In the lead-up to the production of this version, it was agreed that each Council would produce its own area BAP because the three authorities had not shared a Biodiversity Officer since 2011. Neither Inverclyde Council nor East Renfrewshire Council has produced an updated area BAP yet, due to lack of appropriately qualified staff.
This is the current version - Renfrewshire LBAP 2018-2022
Renfrewshire Council (like other councils) is guided by Scottish Government biodiversity legislation and policy.
Renfrewshire biodiversity websites
Over the last number of years there have been a few attempts to set up websites dealing with biodiversity in Renfrewshire.
Here's a previous Renfrewshire Biodiversity website.
