Well, the Belper Steam event held between the 5th and 7th of June was unfortunately hit by the lousy weather of the weekend (30 hours of rain!!). Many exhibitors left early on the Sunday (usually the best day of the event). The local radio station reportedly had difficulty gaining access to the site over the weekend also.

Many of the public visitors were said to have abandoned the site by Saturday lunchtime and it has been reported that the events future may now be uncertain as this event can cost around £20k to make happen.

This is usually a great event and normally well worth a visit with full sized and scale steam models and also a great display of other vintage vehicles and machinery with great entertainment for the whole family, ooh and a bar !!.
